„Mäeotsa Disc-Golf Open“

Estonian Disc-Golf Association and Mäeotsa Disc-Golf park are inviting you to a disc-golf tournament close to Põlva. This tournament is special because for the first time in Estonia we are playing on a 18-hole permanent course. It is a 2-day tournament: four rounds, semifinal (top 12 scores) and final (top 5 scores).
Mäeotsa Disc-Golf park is located on a beautiful hill and river valley. Landscape there is truly inspiring not only for golf players, but even for artists. Location of the Mäeotsa park is marked on the map with white square.

Entry fees:
Open division 15 euros
Women & amateur division 10 euros

Accommodation:
• You can take a tent with you - no charge.
• In the park owners house on the floor - it costs a little.
• At Põlva city, in a hotel.

Mäeotsa Disc Golf Park in Polva, Estonia, is operating and open to the public!


The first permanent Frisbee Golf Course in Estonia will have its New Grand Opening as an 18-hole course. As published in the spring, there is a tournament on July 22-23, 2006. The format of the tournament is as follows:

Saturday, July 22, 1st round at 10.00 18 holes
2nd round at 14.00 18 holes

Sunday, July 23 3rd round at 10.00 18 holes
and then, a 9 hole: FINAL at 13.00 (5 best in both the Open Pro and Amateur Divisions)

The entry fee is 15 Euros (or equivalent in kroonis) in the Open Division and 10 EUR in the Amateur Division.
Divisions: Open Pro and Amateurs (which includes Seniors over 50, Juniors under 19 and Women).
MÄEOTSA DISC GOLF PARK offers accommodation packages as well for the first 5 interested. The sleeping arrangement is floor space; bring your own sleeping bags etc. Tent space is available for free.Food will be available on the premises. On Saturday night there is a Grill Party, putting contests etc etc

MÄEOTSA DISC GOLF PARK is situated in Pólva, about 50 km southeast of Tartu, on a beautiful Estonian farm with a brook running through the course and some steep hills and canyons. You will find the place most interesting. The driving time to Tallinn is about 3 hours and distance about 230 km. The distance from the center of Pólva is 4 km.

DRIVING ISTRUCTIONS from Tallinn: Take Tartu Highway ( Tartu Mnt, Highway 2) south, pass Tartu from the right following signs to Vóru. There are 3 traffic circles (roundabouts) a couple of kilometres apart; go straight though all of them. After the third one drive 8 km, turn left on road 61 towards Pólva. Entering Pólva go right in the first traffic circle. The second circle is more like an oval. Go straight = circle first right and then left. There will be a gas station on the left. Drive 400 meters and you will pass a stand of trees and a building on the left, after that turn left on a gravel road (second road from the gas station). About 25 meters from the turnoff there is a lone tree on the left. Follow the winding, hilly road for 2,2 km, turn left on an even smaller road (there is a white brick house on the right). On the right of the dirt road there is an open electric transformer. Follow the road into yard.
Pólva is easy to reach also from the south, e.g. Riga, on Highway A2 = E77, then turn towards Vóru on Estonian Hwy 2 and road 64 towards Pólva.
